About
Malmö Festivalen is the largest street festival in Sweden, a vibrant celebration of culture, creativity, and community, where art, music and food come together.

This project was a concept exploration for Malmö Festivalen by Designit. Although it wasn’t selected by the festival, it was an incredibly fun and inspiring project to work on. I had the pleasure of collaborating with the talented designer Magda Reyman, check her case.

My role
As Illustrator, I developed the illustration concept and created the artwork, including some motion.

Typography based illustrations

The illustrations were designed to be an extension of the typography, where the shapes and curves of the letters directly influence the visual elements. Each illustration is built using the same geometric principles, lines, and angles found in the typography, creating a cohesive and unified visual language. This approach blurs the line between type and illustration, allowing both elements to work seamlessly together.
